Dr. Nathanael Bassett

Nathanael Bassett is T-REX's Tearline Director. Nathanael's work focuses on creating new relationships and opportunities with students, educators, and professionals in the geospatial community in St. Louis and beyond. Trained as a qualitative social science researcher focusing on science and technology studies, Nathanael believes in the importance of data collection and analysis to make informed decisions. Nathanael earned his doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago and holds a master's from the New School. Prior to his work at T-REX ,Nathanael taught college and graduate level students in courses under communication studies, including ethics and media theory, and conducted research on the impact of novel technologies on society.
