Dr. Dmitry Streletskiy

Dr. Dmitry Streletskiy is an Associate Professor of Geography and International Affairs at George Washington University. His research is focused on understanding diverse impacts of climate change on ecosystems, population and overall sustainability of the Arctic regions. Dr. Streletskiy is the Chair of Global Terrestrial Network for Permafrost and was previously the President of the United States Permafrost Association. He teaches graduate and undergraduate level courses in areas of geospatial techniques, physical geography, and climate change, Arctic and Russia. He spends his summers in the Arctic regions of North America and Eurasia, documenting evidence of rapidly changing climatic conditions on natural ecosystems, infrastructure and society.
