Mr. Tom Fitzwater

Tom Fitzwater is Chief of the Demographic and Economic Studies Branch in the U.S. Census Bureau's International Programs Center (IPC). IPC advances data-driven decision making through tools, capacity strengthening, and data products for the global statistical community. Tom’s team is responsible for estimating and projecting the world's population (census.gov/idb) and analyzing global patterns and trends in fertility, mortality, and international migration. He has a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Maryland.
