Dr. Allan Trapp

Allan Trapp is the Managing Director of Data Science at Object Computing Incorporated. He leads a team of data scientists and engineers who craft ML business solutions across diverse industries including agriculture, transportation, finance, and life sciences. Data-driven actions are his passion and motivate his research on agricultural management zones and the carbon-offset marketplace. Over the years, he and his team have developed geospatial management zones spanning water availability, crop disease, soil nutrient availability, and overall crop productivity. Currently, creation of a credible, efficient, and transparent platform to buy and sell carbon offsets is his focus.

Allan earned his PhD in Statistics from Iowa State University, researching non-parametric kernel smoothing estimators. He has 10+ years of career experience delivering descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytic solutions using geospatial data.
