Dr. Kuishuang Feng
Dr. Feng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geographical Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. He leads a research group focused on the human dimension of global change, specializing in socio-economic and environmental accounting across spatial scales, with emphasis on climate change mitigation, low carbon transitions, sustainable resource management, and environmental justice. His work integrates methodologies like Environmentally Extended Input-Output (EEIO) models, Life-Cycle Analysis (LCA), and Integrated Assessment Models (e.g., GCAM). Dr. Feng has co-authored over 170 journal articles, including more than 40 in the top-ranking journals like Nature journals, Science journals and PNAS, and his research has been supported by government agencies, development banks and private sector. He serves as Vice-President of the International Input-Output Association and contributed to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report. He also holds editorial roles in Ecological Economics and Sustainable Production and Consumption. Recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher (2019-2023), he has received visiting fellowships from top 100 global universities, such as University of Adelaide and University of Hong Kong.
