Dr. Craig Colten is the Carl O. Sauer Professor of Geography at Louisiana State University. He has been investigating social and cultural aspects of life on the Louisiana coast for the last two decades. He is author of the award winning An Unnatural Metropolis: Wresting New Orleans from Nature (2005) along with Southern Waters: The Limits to Abundance (2014). His forth coming book is tentatively titled State of Disaster: Louisiana’s Coastal Crises.
