Mr. Bradley Riley

Bradley is a passionate young climate scientist deeply committed to advancing climate resilience and sustainability. Bradley holds a Master's degree in Global Change from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, where he has enhanced his expertise in climate science, focusing on the pressing issue of extreme heat and heat-related health impacts in South African cities. In addition to his research pursuits, Bradley is a member of the World Bank's Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) Disaster and Climate Risk Fellowship program, which brings together professionals specialising in climate and disaster risk from climate-vulnerable countries. This program is at the forefront of developing the World Bank's Risk Data Library (RDL), which serves to leverage and communicate climate risk knowledge in climate-vulnerable and fast-growing cities around the world. Bradley's role at GFDRR centers around collaborative initiatives aimed at addressing climate-related challenges, with a particular focus on his local South African cities. As a young, driven climate scientist, Bradley is an advocate for the resilience of cities around the world, driven by his unwavering dedication to safeguarding our planet's future.
